Winter in Canberra can be pretty brutal by Australian standards, or perhaps I’m just used to balmy coastal winters that barely deserve the name. The mornings often see a dense freezing fog roll down over the hills and steaming up off the lakes around the city – it’s as cold as is it is beautiful.
This painting isn’t based on any particular scene, rather it’s painted from memory as I keep warm and cosy in my heated studio.
This acrylic on 24 x 24 inch canvas painting is for sale, and can be purchased from my Bluethumb store.
